San Diego Up & Coming Development Projects

East Village Green

Anticipated as a three-phase project, East Village Green will be located on a 4.1-acre site in the heart of San Diego’s growing East Village neighborhood that will include a wide range of public amenities. The site will be bound in between 13th & 15th St East to West, And between F and G streets from North to South, which are the two main streets getting onto or off the 94 Martin Luther King Jr. Freeway

Campus at Horton

So for those who don’t know Horton Plaza is set to be transformed into a tech-hub in the near future. And for those of you who aren’t thrilled that we’ll be removing a part of San Diego’s historic culture & architecture just to populate the city a little bit more.. I totally get it, especially being a big fan of architecture myself, but the more research I did on this project, I actually got much more excited.

Chula Vista Bay Front Project

The Chula Vista BayFront Project is one of the last truly significant large-scale waterfront development opportunities in Southern California • At approximately 535 acres, the project seeks to transform a largely vacant and underutilized industrial landscape into a thriving recreational, residential and resort destination on the Chula Vista waterfront. • When complete, the public will enjoy more than 200 acres of parks and open space, a shoreline promenade, walking trails, RV camping, shopping, dining and more.

Manchester Pacific Gateway

Manchester Pacific Gateway will be one of California’s most stunning and iconic waterfront developments, giving San Diego a world-class destination on the North Embarcadero of the San Diego Bay.

7th & Market

One of my favorite up and coming downtown projects is by Cisterra Development, and it’s called 7th & Market.

The 7th & Market project vision focuses on creating a landmark tower along Market Street that combines a mix of residential, retail, hotel, office, and public parking uses, and then steps down to an office tower along Island Avenue. In fact, 7th and Market will take up an entire city block between 7th & 8th st, and then from Island Avenues to Market Street

Gaslamp Promenade

If you haven’t heard by now, the Gaslamp Promenade Project has officially been announced! This can only be a great sign for the surrounding real estate.

The new pedestrian friendly walkable Promenade is going to completely re-invent 5th avenue. 8 distinctive plazas starting @ Broadway and going all the way down through L St.

Enhanced streetscaping, new commissioned works of art, & tree canopies lining the street. Curbs will be removed wherever possible, the promenade will be completely repaved, all while maintaining the historic preservation of the Gaslamp Quarter.

We shape our buildings; thereafter, they shape us.”
